I've seen LiT 10-15 times mostly around 11 Pm, alone, in a dark room. Those are in my opinion the best conditions. After I watched it like that, for a few days or even weeks after that, I have felt that 'punched in the stomach' feeling that so many others have expierienced. Yes, LIT is best to watc...

Just out of curiousity why in God's name haven't you seen the whole movie? I mean, it's understandable but not from someone who spends so much time on the LIT boards. Did you miss the first part of the film or the latter? If it was the first then you probably didn't miss nearly as much as if you had...

yeah she's plays a younger character much like she did in ghost world. in LIT she seemed like such an incredibly jaded "old-soul" adult. however, nothing can be worse than her appereance in The Island. not a bad performance, but a flat and uninteresting character - much like the rest of this lastest...

I think it's good to have certain expectations of what you're going to see. Not neccesarily love it or hate it, but if I'm going to see a film like "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" I'll have different expectations than if I'm going to see Fellini's "8 1/2". Not only does this allow me to enjoy both films for wh...

When Bob and Charlotte first talk at the bar, Charlotte says: "So what are you doing here?" She emphasises 'you' which implies that she's acknowledged that she knows who he is, or at least that's how I interpret it. However, later on in Bob's hotel room (just before my favourite bed scene), Charlot...

For all we know, Bob could be whispering to Charlotte "keep in touch" or "it gets easier" or "I love you" or any number of things. The film keeps the whisper ambiguous because what the viewer can imagine is said is more powerful than any dialogue Sofia could have written in its place. And I would di...
