HAHA! My father was in North Africa (with Montgomery) and then Belgium (with Patton) and France in the early forties. Don't worry, I'm a lot older than you.

Where is she going to school? What'll be her major?

Both of my nieces went to the University of Georgia- as wild a place as any- and came out unscathed. My youngest niece graduated Summa Cum Laude...the very opposite of her uncle.

It hurts now because the nail is starting to come off. It also hurts like crazy when I'm washing my hair...what hair I still have.

Scarlett's "Cosmo" cover

I was at the grocery store two or three days ago waiting in line at the cashier. As usual, I was shamelessly checking out the "Shape," "Self," and "Cosmo" covers. The "Cosmo" said something about Scarlett, so I looked closer and realized that she was on the cover. While she looked good, she is using...

I used to think I was ambidextrous. I do everything left-handed except sports. (God forbid I try to brush my teeth right-handed...it would be a bloodbath.) I can throw, kick, and play tennis on either side, but in sports I use the right side. Still, I think the reason I'm dominant right-handed is th...

I just read the story through, and not only did you do great, I bet thinking of it will pick you up whenever you're getting down on yourself. I know your granddad felt comfortable always knowing that you would be there, and, being a working man himself, he knew the sacrifices you were making to get ...

52FM, now you have to watch "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" to understand Ith's signature. It comes up a couple of times in that excellent movie.

It only hurt when I crunched it against the wall. The finger is dark purple, but the swelling is mostly gone and there is no pain. I wear a splint at work, but not when I'm at home.

The movie is okay. It also stars Dennis Quaid and Topher Grace. I wasn't impressed with Scarlett in it.

Black finger, not black toe

I work in a warehouse. We sell hardware and accessories to cabinet makers and kitchen renovators. Tuesday I was attempting to roll a 55 gallon barrel of glue off a pallet. I have done this enough times to do it in my sleep (which is probably why this happened). I thought the barrel was stuck, so I g...

Yeah, it's real. I've been to a number of golf tournaments, and it has always amazed me when I stare as hard as I can at the flight of a ball. At some point, it just disappears. It's much easier for me to watch from behind the golfer. If I'm out to the side, it is much harder for me to pick up the b...

I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen it. Sometimes I'll put it in the DVD player and work at my computer and turn to look at it when it comes to a favorite scene.
