As I write this I'm listening to the Lost in Translation soundtrack and looking out the window of a high-rise luxury hotel at the blinking red lights atop every skyscrapper. The hotel is next to Zojoji Temple where the monks ring a large temple bell six times each day...

it still amazes me how deeply and similarly this movie affects the people it does.
I think this movie is truly unique in cinema this way.
