A couple of things I noticed

1) One of the Japanese guys who squire Bob around Tokyo (with Ms. Kawasaki) is in a PGA commercial. He plays the outraged maitre'd of a Japanese restaurant. The cooks are watching golf and consequently are burning all the food. 2) The other night I was flipping through the TV channels and came acros...

I noticed this when I attempted to burn "Just Like Honey" onto another disc. When I had finished burning, I saw that the track was like fifteen minutes long.

Murray was on Letterman Thursday night

Sorry, folks, I meant to post this earlier in the week, but wasn't on the computer much the last few days. I didn't catch the whole appearance (which seemed to be short), but Murray and Letterman are hilarious together. In the part I saw, Murray cajoled Letterman into calling Les Moonves, a CBS exec...

I don't think Charlotte was waiting for some earth-shattering statement from Bob. I think she just wanted him to tell her she was important to him. She could see it in his eyes, but she wanted to hear it. His holding back was really frustrating for her.

I consider it to be happy because we get to see two people who are stuck in ruts slowly realize that life has more for them than they suspected. We don't know for certain that they will go back to their old lives. Probably they will go back to those old lives, but each viewer has to decide for him o...

Yeah, I saw a post about this at another site. The guys over there were talking about it as a done deal, but I have no way of knowing if that is true. Unless it is extremely well done- and what are the chances of that?- it could be a career-killer for Scarlett. Maybe she just feels like taking a cha...

Favorite movies are a very personal thing, so I don't pay much attention to the imdb.com list. There are plenty of people who don't like "LiT" and this would tend to dilute its popularity as reflected by the list.

This is from chapter 28 of "The Pickwick Papers," another great work by Mr. Dickens. And numerous indeed are the hearts to which Christmas brings a brief season of happiness and enjoyment. How many families, whose members have been dispersed and scattered far and wide, in the restless struggles of l...

My assumption is that she was asleep and woke up and wanted a smoke and didn't turn on the light. It's a miracle she didn't blow her nose off, or worse.

I'd ask her to explain the sequence of events that happened between Charlotte's trip to Kyoto and Bob's hooking up with the singer. I've never had a clear understanding of what was supposed to be happening.

When God wants you to stop smoking

This was in yesterday's paper...sounds like divine intervention to me. FRANKLIN COUNTY Seeking a light, smoker shoots self A woman staying at a northeast Georgia motel last week shot herself in the hand while trying to light a cigarette- with a loaded gun. Olivia Hutcherson, 21, mistook the .22-cali...

We were going to play golf early and then go eat (no cooking for our crowd). When Thursday morning came, we were too lazy to get up, so after eating an outstanding meal at a club, we rolled over to the golf course and played maybe a dozen holes before it got dark. The weather down here was spectacul...

I think I'll call today the Day of the Leaf Blower. As I walked through my neighborhood late this afternoon, there were blowers going all over the place. I have to admit I blew and picked up a huge number of leaves this morning. 'Tis the season, I guess.

Okay, check this out. Last night I was out having dinner with friends (we were actually eating before going to a high school football game). One of the women said, "What's happened to your Dogs (UGA)?" I told her that I was pretty sure that UGA would not win another game this season. So what happens...

Well, she has a beautiful face and there are a lot of people who like to look at it and I'm sure she has marketers clambering to get a piece of her. I hope it doesn't end up getting the best of her.

The two candidates I mentioned above had a debate last night and it was nasty. When it was over, they refused to shake hands and each called the other "despicable." All this over a Supreme Court seat. I wish the election would hurry up and get here before they convince all of us not to vote.
