Re: Five years later, and this film can still make my heart
Whenever I watch this film, I can't help but think of the person that was with me when I first saw it, and whom I've since lost. For me, watching it is both sweet and sad , not unlike the film itself. I tend to feel that more now, times are hard and the reality starts to kick in that dreams that yo...

Thats the brilliance of this movie and why we love it I guess. You keep coming back for more and realise that it's message will speak to generations that follow. I haven't watched it in years and I think I've got the urge to see it again. (Do we still do simulviews? Easters coming up so how about o...

I haven't actually watched the film in full for about a year at a guess. I certainly do think about it a lot. Since 2004 I've been lucky enough to go to many places in the film in Kyoto and Tokyo. Just the other day I was looking for my pictures of my walk through Heian Jingu, one of my favourite p...

There's a nostalgia element to watching LIT now I think. Times have changed and our lives have changed since we first saw it. I sometimes think that like the lives we lead, certain elements of the tokyo we see in LIT may no longer be there in the future. Japanese culture is very adept at portraying ...

I believe that this may be a direct port of the hd-dvd release. I have the hd-dvd version and will pick up the blu-ray eventually. The potential for the transfer was apparently a bit limited due to the way the film was originally shot. ForRelaxingTimes, good to see you on here again! :D As far as ho...

Released in the U.S, there's a review here:
http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Lost-in-T ... 02/#Review
It seems as though it's a port of the HD-DVD release, and there's no new special features.

I have to admit I am kind of fond of the fact that the layout of the forum hasn't changed...I guess I'm a sucker for nostalgia. I can't say I'd mind if the main site pages changed- I enter the forum directly anyway- but if the main site changes can you keep a link to the old stuff? Likewise would th...

chungking express You may not believe this but I put this movie on my "to watch" list almost 5 long years ago, and I FINALLY just finished it, and one of the first things I remembered to do was come back here and reply to this post. The movie was amazing and evocative. I think I have to watch it ag...
