This is an interesting feature on the PRX (and NPR and podcast) show about what's happening in Japan now related to tourism and the economy:

Towards the end they also mention Unseen Japan and interview one of the guys from that site.

Given how strong the dollar is against the yen now bringing costs down for dollar travelers, now would be a great time to go (wish I could!)!

Oh don't you know it! I'm really hoping we can make it happen next year, hopefully early spring/late winter. Definitely want to go when the weather is still colder.
